Northwest Territories Student Financial Assistance

The Northwest Territories' Student Financial Assistance office helps eligible NWT residents with the cost of their post-secondary education. Whether planning to attend a college, university, university-college, public institute or private training school, students have access to loans, grants, and scholarships.

NWT's programs are mostly need-based, providing assistance when students and their immediate families do not have the resources to meet the costs of full- or part-time education and basic living expenses. However, assistance based on academic merit or designed for special student groups is also available.

NWT administers programs on behalf of the NWT Government, as well as federal Millennium Scholarship Foundation programs.
